Humans have lived on the Mar subcontinent since ancient times. Geography and history have not been kind to the cities and artifacts of the region, but many stories and traditions have survived. Some of these stories are available elsewhere on this site. Most of this section of the encyclopedia is devoted to general Mar beliefs and traditions.
Posted by Eric on 2/6/2006: This section is not as large as it could be. The Mar have an enormous pantheon of deities and heroes. The most important gods receive mention in Chapter 3, and heroes are sprinkled throughout the stories and history.
Posted by Matt on 2/7/2006: I expect we'll eventually have an entry for at least each of the gods. I even want to put one up for mundane later. There's thousands of years of culture here! And we haven't even scratched the surface of Marrishland art, probably because we haven't given it much thought.
